InBody S10 is a medical-grade body water analyzer using attachable electrodes to assess fluid balance and cellular health, supporting accurate evaluation for immobile, amputee, and critical care patients.
The InBody S10 Body Water Analyzer uses attachable electrodes to evaluate excess fluid and assess cellular health, making it suitable for immobile or amputee patients. The InBody S10 has been recognised across multiple medical specialties, including nephrology, cardiology, and intensive care units (ICU), as a device capable of accurately measuring body water.
Supports accurate body water analysis in multiple positions, including supine, standing, and sitting.
Designed with comfortable, easy-to-attach electrodes to support a smooth experience for both patients and healthcare professionals.
Adhesive-type electrodes provide a practical solution for amputee or bandaged patients, unlike touch-type electrodes that require intact limbs for contact.
Can be mounted on a mobile cart, allowing convenient measurements across different rooms and supporting efficient testing in healthcare environments.
The InBody S10 Body Composition Result Sheet provides a detailed overview of muscle, fat, and body water. It also includes advanced parameters such as Visceral Fat Area, Whole Body and Segmental ECW Ratio, and Whole Body and Segmental Phase Angle, supporting a deeper understanding of body water balance and cellular health.
The InBody S10 Body Water Result Sheet delivers comprehensive body water analysis, including Segmental ECW Ratio Analysis and Segmental Body Water Analysis. This allows detailed evaluation of fluid distribution in each body segment and helps identify unusual shifts that may be associated with injury, aging, obesity, edema, or other health conditions.
In addition, Water Control indicates the level of water to be managed based on the ECW ratio, which is set differently depending on the presence or absence of complications.
InBody’s Whole Body ECW Ratio supports professional-level screening and monitoring of body water balance. Segmental ECW/TBW displays fluid distribution across individual body segments, enabling trend monitoring and identification of atypical changes related to injury, aging, obesity, or other health factors.
Water Control displays the water level to be managed based on the ECW ratio, which is defined differently depending on whether complications are present, as described in a paper published in the 2008 Journal of Japan Society of Dialysis Therapy (JSDT).
Phase angle is an indicator of cellular integrity. The InBody S10 provides whole body and segmental phase angle analysis at 50 kHz. Higher phase angle values indicate healthier cellular integrity. Phase angle data may be used to assess current nutritional status and determine whether nutritional intervention may be required.
Body Water Composition History tracks changes in body water over time and provides insight into a patient’s response to fluid management. For dialysis patients, monitoring these changes is particularly important for supporting treatment optimisation and appropriate fluid management.
