ResMed AirFit™ F40 is a low-profile, tube-down full face CPAP mask designed to support comfort, ease of use, and freedom of movement while maintaining seal and fit during therapy.
Featuring an UltraCompact design, the ResMed AirFit™ F40 is ResMed’s smallest tube-down full face mask, based on a ResMed external clinical study¹.
In a ResMed external clinical study, 100% of surveyed patients reported that the AirFit F40 was easy to fit and adjust to achieve both seal and comfort². In the same study, 96% of patients indicated that the mask was comfortable at first fit².
The ResMed AirFit F40 is available with three cushion sizes and three headgear sizes, providing a 98% fit range according to a ResMed external clinical study².

The AdaptiSeal™ silicone cushion adapts to facial contours to help maintain seal and comfort, even when patients change sleep positions. The fully flexible frame, combined with fewer adjustment points, supports ease of use and comfort.
In a ResMed external clinical study of existing PAP patients using the AirFit F40:
- 96% of surveyed patients reported freedom to sleep in their preferred position and change positions throughout the night³
- 100% of surveyed patients found the mask easy to use overall³
- The majority of surveyed patients stated they felt confident continuing their sleep apnea therapy³
Clinicians rated fitting as Grade A, reporting that the AirFit F40 was easy to fit on 95% of patients³. With three headgear sizes and three cushion sizes, the mask is designed to accommodate most patients.
Magnetic clips that snap on and off easily, along with fewer headgear adjustment points, contribute to straightforward use.
The low-profile design supports comfort while maintaining flexibility. Patients are able to wear glasses to read or watch television in bed while using therapy. The short tube design helps reduce drag and moves with the patient to support different sleeping positions throughout the night.
